The coiled leash is a popular option, especially for SUP racing. A leash dragging in the water creates resistance. The coiled leash stops the leash entering the water. Leash comfort matters to us. The RYD cuff is very comfortable to wear.
A coiled leash is not recommended for SUP Surfing – a longer leash is required to create more distance from the board for safety, in the case of a wipe out.
